Somewhere Along the Way
COPYRIGHT 2004 BY ELIZABETH FUENTES
Trying
to adapt to her new life, Widow Elyse Leiber, a quirky, do-gooder, wants nothing
to do with men, particularly egotistical, unscrupulous, business men. As
she fends off Tony Roca’s advances--a charismatic Cuban Casanova, too
young for the likes of her--she goes head to head with his antagonizing older
brother. Nathan Roca, aka Mr. Freeze, a serious, stuffed shirt, South
Florida land developer, is everything she loathes. Though he finds her
feistiness exasperating, he also finds her captivating.
Tony’s rejection, Nathan’s bitterness, and
Elyse’s insecurities charge the passionate, hot tempered, storyline of
'Somewhere Along the Way' sufficiently. Throw in Elyse’s unusual
relationship with her friend and sometime boss, movie producer Scott Larson--who
has other plans for her life--and things start bubbling over.

In
'It’s Never My Day', life’s harsh realities become apparent to Elora
Valle at an early age. Scarred by pain and disappointment, Elora is dejected
and resentful. A high school dropout, armed with only her wit, she works to
support the only person who matters, her mother. She long ago realized happiness
was for beauty queens with perfect smiles and manageable hair.
Reginald
Chandler Owens 5th, a distinguished military hero and
head of a secret special forces division, thought nothing of life. Wounded on
a suicide mission, the grotesque scar on his face became his medal of honor.
Except for his world, all else is inconsequential, until he meets the sorrowful
woman. Numb and soulless, he is forever changed by her. Varied social differences
fired by Elora’s streetwise attitude unleash a roller coaster of emotions.
