Quirky and easygoing are most often used to describe me.  Quirky, most probably defined as a total screwball, and easygoing, meaning I’m not usually a beotch.   If  this is representative of what I appear to be, I can accept it--it is much better than having a ‘good personality’ or being ‘quite the conversationalist’.
Redheads can be sexy and sultry, but since I can usually be found sporting Converse high tops--how delightfully eccentric--I must be satisfied with distinctive and pleasant.

Of course in keeping with my Cuban heritage--and in the grand tradition of Latinos everywhere--I am particularly passionate about the things I believe in and may have a slight tendency to be somewhat animated. My propensity to help others often gets me in way over my head.   When not found fulfilling the ‘needs of the many’ or debating the relevant issues of  today’s youth with my teenage son--why trash must be taken out and clothes not left on the bathroom floor--I indulge my love for baseball, reading, Archery, Metallica, Kermit the Frog, Superman, Muscle Cars, ESPN, HGTV and cartoons.

By now it should be obvious that I'm not your typical mom--a trait every kid, except my own,
loves in me. Though, I do possess an abundant supply of normal middle-aged women
qualities, like . . . , --let's just leave that one open--I believe in being unique.  There's very
little I can’t accomplish when I  put my mind to it. Therefore, whether writing, building
a computer, painting a mural, creating an interactive web site, sewing, cooking or coaching,
my plate is quite often full.

I root for the under-dog to a fault (Hey I love the Marlins!  And the Red Sox.)

I'm also honest, loyal, focused and driven.     I like beautiful blue skies and warm sandy beaches, the
sound of my son's laugh and my mother's smile.   I find incompetence ignorant
and ignorance is intolerable.

Is that all?   Yes it is.   What, did you expect my measurements?   At my age they may seem okay
on paper, but visually tend to be somewhat up to the beholder!

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER :
This bio is in no way a personal ad!   I do love the newness of a relationship.
But much to the disbelief of others, I AM NOT LOOKING!  I am HAPPILY single--yes, that is
very possible.    I am blessed with amazing friends and a great family can't ask for more than that!’

Do I believe in horoscopes?  To an extent.   I am a firm believer that it, along with our upbringing, social and
cultural environment,  deciphers who we are.

Birthday: October 6

Libra Traits

Diplomatic and urbane -  I am always diplomatic.  Urbane is definitely in the eye of the beholder.

Romantic and charming
- I'd like to think so!

Easygoing and sociable
- Most definitely!

Idealistic and peaceable
- Well. . . lets just say that it's true as long as we're not getting into a
conversation involving our current state of the nation and its leader!

On the dark side....

Indecisive and changeable - Absolutely not!  Well. . .wait a minute, maybe. Um. . .nah, I don't really
think so. Yes, there may be a smidgen of a trace of this in me, but I'm no-body's fool!

Gullible and easily influenced
- NOT!!!!!  In Spanish we have a saying, "Mas sabe el diablo por viejo, que
por diablo."   Which means, the devil knows more due to his age, then from being the devil.

Flirtatious and self-indulgent
- Flirtatious, as if!   Not possible!   Self-indulgent, absolutely!  Never leave
for tomorrow, what you can enjoy today, but I am responsible to a fault!

Likes:

The finer things in life – absolutely positively, I'm not a fool, but I'm not going to go into hoc for it.

Sharing
– I loathe selfishness, particularly greed!   If you're conniving, manipulative, lying and
self-absorbed, I'll find you out and don't think I haven't!

Conviviality
– (Don't you love some of these words!) Well, I am sociable and love interaction, but
everything within limits.

Gentleness
– Yes, particularly in gentlemen!   I'm not a fan of the "bad boy" .   A dangerous man is just
that DANGEROUS!   I'm brave, not stupid.   Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.

Dislikes:

Violence –(" Second verse, same as the first.")   What possible explanation can a sane person have for
liking violence?

Injustice
– I loathe injustice, at any level!   And if someone is a manipulative fiend, look out, I'm coming
through!

Brutishness
– (There seems to be a theme here.)
Being a slave to fashion – Now anyone who knows me knows this is true. Haven't you read my "Home"
page?

Libra is the only inanimate sign of the zodiac, all the others representing either humans or animals.  Many
modern astrologers regard it as the most desirable of zodiacal types because it represents the zenith of the
year, the high point of the seasons, when the harvest of all the hard work of the spring is reaped. There is a
mellowness and sense of relaxation in the air as mankind enjoys the last of the summer sun and the fruits
of his toil. Librans too are among the most civilized of the twelve zodiacal characters and are often good
looking. They have elegance, charm and good taste, are naturally kind, very gentle, and lovers of beauty,
harmony (both in music and social living) and the pleasures that these bring.

They have good critical faculty and are able to stand back and look impartially at matters which call for
an impartial judgment to be made on them. But they do not tolerate argument from anyone who challenges
their opinions, for once they have reached a conclusion, its truth seems to them self-evident; and among
their faults is an impatience of criticism and a greed for approval. But their characters are on the whole
balanced, diplomatic and even tempered.

Librans are sensitive to the needs of others and have the gift, sometimes to an almost psychic extent, of
understanding the emotional needs of their companions and meeting them with their own innate
optimism - they are the kind of people of whom it is said, "They always make you feel better for having
been with them." They are very social human beings. They loathe cruelty, viciousness and vulgarity and
detest conflict between people, so they do their best to cooperate and compromise with everyone around
them, and their ideal for their own circle and for society as a whole is unity.

Their cast of mind is artistic rather than intellectual, though they are usually too moderate and well
balanced to be avant-garde in any artistic endeavor. They have good perception and observation and
their critical ability, with which they are able to view their own efforts as well as those of others, gives
their work integrity.

In their personal relationships they show understanding of the other person's point of view, trying to
resolve any differences by compromise, and are often willing to allow claims against themselves to be
settled to their own disadvantage rather than spoil a relationship. They like the opposite sex to the
extent of promiscuity sometimes, and may indulge in romanticism bordering on sentimentality.
Their marriages, however, stand a good chance of success because they are frequently the union of
"true minds".  The Libran's continuing kindness toward his or her partner mollifies any hurt the latter
may feel if the two have had a tiff. Nor can the Libran's spouse often complain that he or she is not
understood, for the Libran is usually the most empathetic of all the zodiacal types and the most ready
to tolerate the beloved's failings.

The negative Libran character may show frivolity, flirtatiousness and shallowness. It can be changeable
and indecisive, impatient of routine, colorlessly conventional and timid, easygoing to the point of inertia,
seldom angry when circumstances demand a show of annoyance at least; and yet Librans can shock
everyone around them with sudden storms of rage. Their love of pleasure may lead them into extravagance;
Libran men can degenerate into reckless gamblers, and Libran women extravagant, jealous and careless
about money sometimes squander their wealth and talents in their over enthusiasm for causes which they
espouse. Both sexes can become great gossipers. A characteristic of the type is an insatiable curiosity that
tempts them to enquire into every social scandal in their circle.
